Ermes is a cross-breed of Venere rice, a medium and black grain, and a long, narrow and white grain. The result is an aromatic, scented rice with a long, narrow grain. It is cultivated in the provinces of Novara and Vercelli.

Its grain is characterized by a red colour due to the presence of anthocyanins, the so-called colour molecules that are present in nature in almost all fruits and vegetables, giving them shades of red and blue.
Anthocyanins have a positive effect on our entire system thanks to powerful antioxidants that can namely:
- Block free radicals, slowing cellular aging.
- Protect the capillary system, strengthening capillary structure.
- Develop an anti-edema effect, useful in solving water retention problems.
Hermes Rice benefits health:
- It is rich in antioxidant anthocyanins.
- It has significant amounts iron, making it very effective in fighting cases of anaemia or fatigue.
