The Riso Scotti system, developed from the Italian model, involves a systemic monitoring method, which utilizes a certified environmental policy.
The mission can trace its roots from the company's more than a century-old culture and tradition; Riso Scotti devotes investments and technology to transform rice into products ideal for a more health-oriented consumer.
The imprinting begins from Italy where Riso Scotti has created a vast and organized cutting-edge technological center in Europe: "Bivio Vela", whose strong innovation lies in its systemic process with which traditional work is handled. Pursuing a policy of complete production control, to guarantee high standards, Riso Scotti has succeeded in fully optimizing raw material: an example of an integrated cycle, which utilizes all resources and minimizes waste and, thus, any environmental impact.
Presently, Riso Scotti distributes its products to 60 countries throughout the world, of which 23 are outside of Europe, over 5 continents, relying on solid partnerships with capable local operators. It is firmly committed to serving Eastern Europe and, in 2005, in Romania, it started the "Danube Project", an innovative agro-industrial project, which demonstrates the process of the internationalization of the company and of spreading Italian culture to rice manufacturing in Eastern Europe. Future goals in this area are set to fully utilize the company's expertise so as to obtain rice manufactured with the same standard as the company's headquarters and to optimize synergy with Italy and economies of scale.
The process of internationalization expanded to Panjab, India, where, with the participation of a local rice mill, Riso Scotti produces, manufactures and exports to Europe the Basmati rice, an ideal side dish of increasing demand for the European consumer. This investment involves the application of the Riso Scotti Italia system in these regions, supervised by Italian specialists to guarantee and safeguard the product's quality.
Overseas, in the United States, work is under way to constitute synergic commercial units; here, some products are excluded, conforming to local food habits and maintaining the standards set by the parent company. |
